Terms of Service
Last updated: October 27, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and SeriousPixel, LLC (“SeriousPixel”, “we”, “us” or “our”). They cover your use of the website at www.pixelcoreengine.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
2. The Software
PixelCore Engine, PixelCore Game Studio, PixelScript, the PixelCore MCP server, templates and content packs (together, the “Software”) are in development. Features, platforms, prices, names and dates shown on the Site are plans and may change, and nothing on the Site is an offer to sell or a binding commitment. The Software is not licensed by these Terms. When it is released, it will come with its own license agreement (the “Software License”), which will set out the terms of use, including the no-royalty terms and the “Powered by PixelCore” badge requirement. If the Software License and these Terms conflict, the Software License controls for the Software.
3. Who can use the Site
The Site is intended for a general audience. If you’re under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, please review these Terms with a parent, guardian or teacher. The Site has no accounts and doesn’t ask for personal information; see our Privacy Policy.
4. Your license to use the Site
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view and use the Site for your own non-commercial use.
Press, creators and developers: you may use the logos, badge artwork and descriptions on our brand page to write about or cover PixelCore, or to credit PixelCore in a game made with it, as long as you follow the brand guidelines, don’t alter the artwork and don’t suggest that we endorse you or your game.
Teachers and schools: you may show the Site to students in classrooms and other non-profit educational settings at no charge.
5. What you may not do
Unless we give you written permission, you agree not to:
- copy, host, mirror, redistribute, sell, rent or sublicense the Site or any part of it, except as Section 4 allows;
- modify the Site or create derivative works from its code, artwork or text, except as the law expressly allows;
- remove or change any copyright, trademark or license notices;
- use our trademarks in a way that could confuse people about who made a product or suggest our endorsement;
- interfere with the Site, overload it, or try to get around any security or access controls;
- use automated tools to scrape or harvest the Site’s content, other than standard search-engine indexing that follows our robots.txt file; or
- use the Site in any way that breaks the law or infringes anyone else’s rights.
Sharing links to the Site, and screenshots of it in reviews, articles and lessons, is welcome.
6. Ownership and trademarks
The Site and the Software, including their code, design, artwork, text and documentation, are owned by SeriousPixel, LLC and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. “PixelCore”, “PixelCore Engine”, “PixelCore Game Studio”, “PixelScript”, “SeriousPlay”, “SeriousPlay Games” and the related logos are our trademarks. Except for the license in Section 4, these Terms don’t give you any rights in the Site, the Software or our trademarks.
Other product names mentioned on the Site, including in comparison tables, are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify those products. Their use doesn’t mean those owners endorse or are affiliated with PixelCore.
7. Comparisons and plans
Comparisons with other products reflect our understanding of publicly available information on the date shown, and other products may change. Performance figures described as targets are goals, not guarantees. Please check each vendor’s own materials before making decisions.
8. Feedback
We love hearing ideas. If you send us suggestions or feedback, you agree we can use them to improve the Site and the Software without any obligation or payment to you.
9. Changes and availability
We may update, change, suspend or discontinue the Site, or any part of it, at any time, with or without notice. We don’t guarantee the Site will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites, such as seriouspixel.com and www.seriousplaygames.com. We aren’t responsible for the content or practices of sites we don’t control.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DON’T ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SERIOUSPIXEL, LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SITE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN TOLD SUCH DAMAGES ARE POSSIBLE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50).
Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
If you use the Site in a way that breaks these Terms or the law, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, to the extent the law allows.
14. Ending your use
You can stop using the Site at any time. We may suspend or end your access to the Site if you break these Terms. Sections 6, 7 and 11 through 16 continue to apply after your use ends.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you live outside the United States, you may also have rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country, and nothing here takes those away.
16. General
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a provision right away, we haven’t waived it. You may not transfer these Terms. We may transfer them, for example if PixelCore is sold.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the new Terms.
